two major incidents in its wave pool in 2015 a six year old boy had a close
call when he almost drowned in the pool he was revived but the parents of the

safety improvements were not made a few years later an 8 year old boy drowned

types of waves including ocean type waves that produce strong currents in the
pool as such many people claim that neither pool is particularly safe but of
the two pools only Captain Jack's has caused a fatality in 2009 a 49 year old
man was found unresponsive in the Captain Jack wave pool he was taken to the
hospital where he was pronounced dead.

30th 2019 when a wave machine malfunctioned the malfunction caused a massive
tsunami type wave to barrel across the wave pool crashing over everyone in its
path the wave was around nine feet high and the pool was very full at the time
swimmers are swept up in the pool and tossed out of the pool some people landed
violently on the pavement that surrounds the pool a total of 44 people were
injured in the catastrophe which is the highest wave pool injury ever recorded

had broken their ribs this is the first major incident at the park but the

the incident was caused by a power cut in the tsunami control room the power
